See, imagine looking forward to a nice vacation. Yes, you paid 120 euros a night for a room so you don't expect much, but you expect at least some form of courtesy, respect, and just the basic needs of wifi password handed to you at check in or gym access activated at check in. But thats asking too much from Hotel Marsol.

Great location, lovely views, but property not well kept. No amenities, rooms are moldy. The evening bar staff are the best thing about this place.

Check-in was poor (August 29, 2017 at 5pm). Guy greeted us with smile but that was the end of his good deed for the day. He forgot to include the logistics of breakfast time, amenities, wifi, etc. It was like pulling teeth to ask everything. The lobby stinks like urine. Room stinks like a towel that didn't get dried appropriately. The bed was two twin combined to make a king bed but both kept separating in the middle. And to top it all, It was hard like a cardboard. The bathroom was poorly maintained and the lighting is atrocious. There is a window access with a view of five story apartment with tenant's cooking and showering. Underneath were restaurants and bars so it was so noisy the entire time! First day was horrible and just when you thought it could not get any worst, it did! The following day (August 30), I went down to get a wine opener, because there is none in the room. Don't ask me why. I arrived at the lobby and IGOR was the front desk person. IGOR was talking to his "guy friend" and they were giggling and talking about upcoming night plans. As I was waiting for some form of acknowledgment, he looked at me and continued his conversation with his friend; five minutes later and after three eye contacts, he still ignored me. I then acted to look for another person in the office since IGOR was too busy flirting with his guy friend. That's when he finally acknowledged me, seven minutes later. I love to kill people with kindness no matter what the circumstances were so I politely ask, "I don't mean to bother your very intimate and important chat, but I am in need of a wine opener" He raised his eyebrows and pointed up to the bar. I left because that was the end of my kindness. As I was leaving, he yelled and you have to bring your bottle downstairs. Wow!

Forget about the elevator. It's very slow and you might as well just take the damn stairs! It gets better. We went back to the room and gathered our stuff. Check out time is 10AM, yes super early. Despite the sign do not disturb hanging at the door, this housekeeper knocked once and slam the door wide open at 0950! She looked as if she saw a ghost by the way we stared at her. Unbelievable!

The phone in the room does not work at all so it's pretty much, " you have to go downstairs" if you need something.

The photos they provide showing just reception swimming pool and sauna and it makes people to think it's nice hotel when in reality rooms' standards are very low.

Hotel Marsol is THE WORST HOTEL I have ever been to. Ever. I have stayed at a 50 dollar/night suite in Beijing, 400 dollar/night Ritz in Moscow, 3 star hotel in Bali, 5 star hotel in Dubai, 1 star hotel in Machu Picchu, but guess I was treated like a person, a human being, and a guest regardless of the price tag or hotel rating. This hotel needs to hire new staff and close down for renovation before they claim to be open for business, because they are not, not even close!
